Dr. Bhaskar Harshe is a renowned Consultant Diabetologist practicing in Pune, Maharashtra. He is serving as a Secretary of Scientific Session and Joint Secretary of Diabetic Association of India, Pune for last two decades. Apart from being an honorary Consulting Diabetologist at Poona Hospital and Research Center, Dr. Harshe is also attached to all major health institutes in Pune as a Diabetologist.
He has been associated with various national and multinational pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott, AstraZeneca, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Intas, Merk, MSD, Piramal Healthcare, Sonofi aventis, Ranbaxy, Eris, Lupin etc where Dr. Harshe is either a speaker, an advisor or has an affiliation.
Dr. Harshe regularly participates in international conferences for diabetes like ADA, IDF, and ESDA and national conferences organized by RSSDI, Diabetic Association of India. He is one of the regional faculties at Public Health Foundation of India and Dr. V. Mohan’s Academy, Chennai for its doctor's certified training program in diabetes.
He has designed and presented 'EARN–N–LEARN: An innovative diabetic educative program for doctors and patients' in various national and state conferences. Dr. Harshe has been part of educative broadcasting on medical topics at All India Radio Pune and Pune Televisions. He has also directed and acted in diabetes educative dramas for patients - “MADHUMILIN” & “GHADAL BIGHADAL SAWARL”.
He is currently involved in 'Stem cell therapy in Type 2 Diabetes with different protocol: A project in collaboration with Poona Hospital & Research Center, Stem One Lab and National Center for Cell Sciences' and 'Development of large diabetic population base from Pune city sample population for various epidemiological, interventional and research studies in diabetes'.
Famous author Late Smt. Gogate Shakuntala has dedicated her book 'SUTRADHAR' to Dr. Harshe.

Common nutritional problems of young expecting mothers dwelling in very poor socioeconomic status in Pune city and their remedies. (Recognized as best research project by Pune municipal corporation in 1980).
Co-investigator in “Anti-obesity effects of Ayurvedic drug Latkaranj” (Project by Sasoon General Hospital Pune and Seth Tarachand Ramnath Hospital Pune 1982-1983).

Review of risk factors of cerebrovascular accidents in middle aged Indian population. (Dissertation topic for post graduate study 1981 to 1984).
